HIDER ST HOUSE
A dialogue between time & space
The Hider Street House is a measured response to heritage—an addition that frames rather than competes, revealing history while embracing contemporary living. Rooted in slow space, the design carefully mediates transitions, allowing for moments of pause, light, and texture to unfold.
Rather than mimicry, the new form stands in quiet contrast, respecting the original dwelling through spatial hierarchy and material restraint. The rear extension recedes, ensuring the heritage frontage remains primary, while the garage sits deferentially within the streetscape. Every element is calibrated to balance past and present, creating a home that honors its history while evolving for modern life
