MANIFOLD HOUSE
Small Foot Print Large Impact
This project demonstrates that meaningful architecture is not defined by its size or budget, but by the quality of the spaces it creates. Working within a modest footprint, the design carefully reimagines the rear of the home to strengthen its relationship with the landscape, capture expansive views, and embrace the warmth and consistency of the northern sun. Every decision was considered to maximise natural light, improve spatial flow, and create a stronger connection between inside and out.
Rather than relying on scale or extravagance, the project focuses on thoughtful interventions that deliver lasting everyday value. A carefully positioned extension, refined openings, and a restrained material palette work together to transform how the home is experienced, proving that relatively small changes can have a profound impact on the way people live.
The project also reflects a core belief of Studio603: that good architecture should be accessible. Creating a home that feels generous, functional, and deeply connected to its environment does not require an expansive budget or an oversized addition. Through careful design, considered proportions, and an understanding of how light, outlook, and movement shape our daily experience, architecture can elevate ordinary homes into places of lasting quality. This project is evidence that thoughtful design is an investment in living better, not simply building bigger.
